Song Ui-young marked his return to the Home United starting XI on Wednesday with a two-goal display to inspire ten-man Home United to a dramatic 3-2 triumph over Lao Toyota in AFC Cup 2019 Group H.

It was Lao Toyota who drew first blood at the New Laos National Stadium after 11 minutes, when Rafael found space inside the area to meet Saison Khounsamnan’s corner with a firm header into the back of the net.

However, the visitors took just four minutes to equalise through a set-piece of their own; Izzdin Shafiq floating a lovely freekick onto the head of Song, who made no mistake in guiding the ball past Outthilath Nammakhoth.

Song then doubled his tally five minutes before halftime when he drilled home from the penalty spot, after Faritz Hameed had been dragged down inside the area by Bounphithak Chanthalangsy.

But Home were then dealt a blow in the 68th minute when they were reduced to ten men, after Aqhari Abdullah was issued his marching orders following a second yellow.

The hosts were then awarded a penalty of their own for a foul by Faritz Hameed on Rafael, and Kazuo Homma coolly sent Nazri Sabri the wrong way to level the scores with just 15 minutes remaining.
