On Matchday 4 of this week in the AFC Champions League 2019 group stages, Group G member Beijing Guaon will take on Buriram United.
Beijing Guaon and Buriram United hold the third and the fourth position on the group table respectively. The former have registered one win in the three matches played so far in the group stages, drawing one match and losing another. Buriram United have also registered only one win in the AFC Champions League Group stages. However, they have lost two matches which has pushed them at the bottom of the table.
It is interesting to note that the last time these two teams faced each other, Beijing Guaon picked an incredible 3-1 win over Buriram United, registering their only victory in the tournament so far. With that, they now have the same points as the second-ranked, Urawa Reds. If they manage to repeat the history and emerge victorious in tomorrows match, they can climb onto the second position in the group table.
On the other hand, if they lose it will give a clear pass to Buriram United who are trailing behind the former by just one point. A win tomorrow can take them closer to the knockout stages and leave the hosts in despair.
Can the visitors dominate Beijing Guaon in front of their home ground in tom0rrow’s match?
